Everything You Need to Know About Christmas, All In One Place
Christmas at Cornerstone
Christmas at Cornerstone is always a special time as we come together as a community to reflect on the hope and renewal we have in Jesus Christ and celebrate God's great love for us!
Below you will find all the information you need about our Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve gatherings. We look forward to having you!
This Advent season, we will explore the biblical promises of hope, redemption, and salvation we have through Jesus using the lens of the timeless literary classic, A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. We invite you to get in the spirit with an at-home movie night! Gather with some friends or snuggle up on the couch with your family!
There are many different film versions of the tale. Here’s a list of some staff favorites:
The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992)
Disney’s A Christmas Carol with Jim Carey (2009)
A Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart (1999)
A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott (1984)
A Christmas Carol with Alastair Sim (1951)

Christmas Offering
It is a Cornerstone Christmas tradition to give a special offering to a work of God outside the walls of our church. This year, our offering will go to New Hope Community Ministries in Prospect Park, an organization that shares the love of Christ by empowering families to break the cycle of poverty to create a flourishing community.
Since 2005, New Hope Community Ministries has offered professional counseling and training and provided monthly meals to individuals in the community. In the past four years, the demand has increased dramatically, and their impact has more than doubled, serving 1,000 more people annually than they were in 2019.
To meet this demand, New Hope has purchased a nearby building that will enable them to increase their ministry. Once renovated, this new space will nearly double their facilities, allowing them to meet the increased spiritual, emotional, and material support needed. Renovation is underway and is headed up by Cornerstone ministry, Servant's Heart. New Hope is seeking to raise approximately $750,000 to finish and open this space by the Summer of 2024.
Beginning December 10th, you can give to this special offering. Please indicate 'Christmas Offering' to the memo portion of your check and drop it in one of the Giving Boxes in the Gallery, or you can give online at Cornerstonenj.org/give and select ‘Christmas Offering' from the drop-down menu.

What to Expect
What do I wear?
We invite you to come in whatever feels comfortable for you. At Christmas, some people take the special occasion to dress up and get a family photo, while others choose to dress more casually. There's no special dress code required, so come as you are!
What about my kids?
We will have childcare available for kids from birth through first grade at the 9:00am and 10:45am gatherings and for birth through two years old at the 5:00pm gathering. We offer a safe and loving environment where kids can sing songs, do crafts, and learn about Jesus in an age-appropriate manner. When you arrive, there will be volunteers there to greet you, help you check in, and let you know where to go.
When should I get there?
If you have children who will be attending our nursery or kids programming, especially if it's your first time, you may want to arrive about 15 minutes early to allow time for check in, drop off, and finding your seats. There will be volunteers available to help and get where you need to go. If you are not dropping off kids, plan to arrive about 10 minutes early to allow for parking and in order to find a seat.
Where do I park?
There's plenty of parking throughout our campus. You can see the campus map below for parking locations. If our campus parking is full, you can cross over through the driveway across from our playground into the connected Community Park lot next door and park there.
Let's make sure you get to the right place...
