Christmas Offering

As we celebrate God's greatest gift—His Son—we're reminded of the power of giving. Many of you know that Christmas is a time when we extend our church's mission beyond our walls. This year, our Christmas offering will support UPPER90 in Lawrenceville, GA, as they seek to transform lives through a soccer-based mentorship program for vulnerable children. They currently serve over 100 children ages 8-18—all from low-income backgrounds.

In a diverse community primarily serving Latin immigrant families, UPPER90 uses soccer as a bridge to provide hope and meaningful relationships. Their goal is to build a mini soccer field to expand their impact. This $130,000 project, already fully permitted and supported by multiple ministry partners, represents more than sports: it's about creating safe spaces where children can experience love, guidance, and the transformative hope of Christ. UPPER90 has successfully developed four similar fields and has a proven track record of investing in young lives.

The initiative is particularly meaningful because Tyler Hoitsma, a former Cornerstone youth ministry student, is now a missionary leading the program. This project closely aligns with our mission at Cornerstone by providing a practical means of building community, supporting the next generation, and generously serving others, all while leading people to Jesus Christ.

All contributions designated to this Christmas offering and given during the Christmas Eve gatherings will be allocated to this UPPER90 project (unless specifically designated for the General Fund). Please indicate 'Christmas Offering' in the memo portion of your check and drop it in one of the Giving Boxes in the Gallery. You can also give online through the CornerstoneNJ app or by clicking the button below and selecting ‘Christmas Offering' from the drop-down menu.

What to Expect

What do I wear?

We invite you to come in whatever feels comfortable for you. At Christmas, some people take the special occasion to dress up and get a family photo, while others choose to dress more casually. There's no special dress code required, so come as you are!

What about my kids?

Nursery and kids programming through first grade are available during each gathering time. We offer a safe and loving environment where kids can sing songs, do crafts, and learn about Jesus in an age-appropriate manner. When you arrive, there will be volunteers there to greet you, help you check-in, and let you know where to go.

When should I get there?

If you have children who will be attending our nursery or kids programming, especially if it's your first time, you may want to arrive about 15 minutes early to allow time for check in, drop off, and finding your seats. There will be volunteers available to help and get where you need to go. If you are not dropping off kids, plan to arrive about 10 minutes early to allow for parking and in order to find a seat.

Where do I park?

There's plenty of parking throughout our campus. You can see the campus map below for parking locations. If our campus parking is full, you can cross over through the driveway across from our playground into the connected Community Park lot next door and park there.

Let's make sure you get to the right place...
