At Cornerstone Christian Church, our heart's desire to create an inclusive community that welcomes and celebrates individuals with special needs, while partnering with their families. Our church family is passionate about our Special Needs Ministry, and we are excited to see it grow!

We believe that every child deserves to experience God's love in a safe, welcoming environment. Our ministry offers flexible support options to meet each child's unique needs during our 9:00am Kids Church program.

Buddy Support in Kids Church

For children up through fifth grade who would benefit from extra one-on-one attention, we provide adult buddies who offer individualized support while your child participates alongside their peers in our Kids Church programming. These buddies are specially trained to assist with sensory needs, provide comfort, and ensure safety while your child enjoys age-appropriate Bible lessons and engaging activities.

Respite Room

For individuals up through age 22 with support needs, we offer a dedicated respite room where they can receive caring, safe supervision in a quiet environment. This allows parents to attend the worship service knowing their child is being lovingly cared for by our trained team members.

 

Getting Started

To ensure we're fully prepared to welcome your child with all the necessary supports in place, we ask new families to complete our Special Needs Info Form on our website before your first visit. This helps our team reach out to you personally to arrange the most appropriate care and ensure we have everything prepared for a positive and safe experience for your family.

Special Needs Ministry Team

We're looking for volunteers who can assist with our Special Needs Ministry. There are several volunteer opportunities ranging from Sunday mornings to midweek buddies to special events. If you feel called to make a difference in the lives of children with special needs and their families, we'd love to have you join our team! No prior experience is required – just a heart for serving and loving children. We provide training and ongoing support to help you succeed in this meaningful ministry. Whether you have an hour a week or can commit to regular service, there's a place for you to use your gifts and make a lasting impact in our community.

Night to Shine is one of our favorite events of the year! It's a prom night experience centered around God's love for people with special needs. In partnership with the Tim Tebow Foundation, we plan a magical evening dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive space for all attendees to shine and be celebrated.

Our Night to Shine celebration is such a blast, complete with red carpet treatment, cheering fans, paparazzi, food, dancing, and a crowning ceremony where each guest was crowned king or queen!

Our 2025 Night to Shine was such an amazing night and we are already looking forward to next year's event!
