Cornerstone’s Elders administer the Benevolence Fund for the benefit of those in our church community (regular attenders) who are in acute financial need. Long-term assistance is not provided from this fund. Typical needs met are for food, shelter, clothing, transportation and healthcare and counseling expenses. Family should be approached to help meet a need before the church is approached. As stewards of this Fund, the Elders need to document the need and how it was met, so documentation will be required for all requests, including the bills requested to be paid and financial information verifying the need cannot be met (paystubs and family budgets).
