Many of you have inquired about the adult mission trips with Touch The World Ministries Pastor Fred alluded to in a recent sermon. Here are the details:
Open to teens in grade 9-12, college age and adults
In 2005, Touch The World Ministries completed the construction of Colegio James R. Ganley, an elementary school located in the community of Felipe Angeles in Juarez near the U.S. border at El Paso. The school currently serves 115 students in grades K-6, representing 54 families from the colonia. Many of these impoverished families earn as little as $1 per day and live in makeshift homes in the city’s former landfill. Team members will grow to love these children while assisting with various construction projects on the school property. The estimated trip cost is $1,825 per person. The application deadline is April 30.
December 27-January 6
Open to teens in grade 10-12, college age and adults
Team members will give up the comforts of home to participate in the rural lifestyles and daily routines of the people living in Adak, a village near Gulu in northern Uganda. Along with ministering to the village children and teens, the team will build relationships and enjoy a true community experience while digging in the gardens with the locals. The estimated trip cost is $2,500. The application deadline is September 1.
